At the end of this month, specifically on 30.8.2022, the completion of the project of the first group of Scientek Accelerator initiators and initiatives, in the field of biology and environmental sciences, will be celebrated.
The initiators and initiatives, all from the Arab community, will present their pioneering projects and initiatives, and the Scientek Accelerator, the project, the idea and the next cycle will be discussed. This is part of the efforts of the Galilee Society and the supporting parties to accompany Arab initiators and initiatives towards the world of high-tech, business and innovation.
The event will be held on Tuesday 30.8.2022 between 18:00-20:00 at the headquarters of the Galilee Society – Shefa-Amr

The first group of ScienTech Accelerator Initiatives within the Galilee Society, presents their initiatives and projects!
In a festive event on the one hand, and a scientific professional event on the other, the Galilee Society – the Arab National Society for Health Research and Services, organized on Tuesday evening, August 30, 2022, a conference to conclude and present the initiatives of the “ScienTech” technology project, the first project of its kind in the Arab community in the field of biology and environmental sciences, which the society launched months ago in cooperation with PresenTense and with the support of the US Embassy program “MEPI” – the US Middle East Partnership Initiative.
The initiators and initiatives presented their projects and initiatives before a professional jury, within the track designated for this in this project.
At the conference held in the Galilee Society-Shefa’amr conference hall, the coordinator of the ScienTech project, Ala Bakr, spoke, providing an explanation of the program and its goals, which focus on containing scientific capabilities and materials, supporting them and accompanying them towards establishing pioneering companies and projects. The Director General of the Galilee Society, Ahmed Sheikh Mohammed, also spoke, praising the project participants and wishing them success. He also stressed the importance of this project as the first program to accelerate the work of Arab startups in the fields of technology, health sciences, and climate change.
Through this program, we are keen to provide participants with an integrated toolbox, including consultations, networking with companies, and accompaniment. The project aims to build a new generation of Arab entrepreneurs in the field of biotechnology.
After that, the researchers participating in the program, namely: Dr. Nidal Masalha, Sami Taha, Dr. Muhammad Diab, Hanan Taha, Sawsan Ghanadri, Aya Abu Marouf, and Eid Adwi, presented their initiatives and ideas that represent the fruit of their scientific research towards transforming the initiatives into a tangible product, in front of the audience and a committee of specialists in the field of the world of initiatives, which includes: Dr. Subhi Bashir, Attorney Abdul Nashef, Yair Sakov, and Dr. Tal Feldman Seifal.
The initiatives focused on several areas related to health and life sciences, and each initiator presented an explanation of his initiative, by presenting the current situation, the defect, the solution that the initiative represents, and the type of support he needs to make it successful and continue, before listening to the opinions of the committee of specialists and answering their questions. For her part, the Director of the “MEPI” Program at the US Embassy, Manal Haddad, added: “The US-Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) sponsors constructive and effective partnerships between citizens, civil society, the private sector, and governments in the Middle East and North Africa region with the aim of overcoming local challenges and promoting common interests in the areas of participatory governance, economic opportunities, and economic reform. We at the embassy believe in the power of entrepreneurship that can help us all address some of the biggest challenges we face around the world, especially through innovative technologies.
